MAY NEWSLETTER - CENTER FOR CHINESE MEDICINE

Hi everyone,

I’d like to let you know that we have started with doing limited acupuncture treatments at the Center of Chinese Medicine.  Many clients have been looking forward to resuming sessions, and we are doing it carefully, and with more spacing between clients.  I personally feel so grateful and happy to be assisting you in this medicine that is so wonderful in enhancing health.

I’m asking all clients who are considering coming in for treatment to verify they have not had a fever or respiratory health issue (outside of seasonal allergy) in the last month and have been practicing social distancing. Even in that case please contact us if you are unsure of whether you want to, or should, come in.

I’ll be continuing with the Tele-health appointments at scheduled times during the week. Here is more information. Many are finding this a great resource for getting herbs, counsel, and fresh ideas about how to work with your condition or maintain health – without needing to come to the office.  The herbs are left in a locked mailbox outside the office.

In the clinic we’ve taken additional steps for extra safety and precaution, with guidance from our professional organizations.  I’ll be wearing a facemask, gloves if needed, and ask that you come with a mask or we can give you one.  We are striving to not overlap clients and not have people in the waiting room. with sanitizers available in many locations.  The rooms themselves have enhanced circulation and the ability to clean all surfaces between clients in the rooms.  It is comfortable and feeling good!

Stay safe and healthy!

P.S.  In the news, Jackson County had submitted its COVID-19 Reopening and Prerequisites Status and Plan, as the county believes they have met the prerequisites set forth by Governor Brown to enter into the first phase of reopening. These requirements to reopen Jackson County are based on clear public health criteria and signs our health care system is able to respond to a spike in new infections. They urged that people continue to practice social distancing, proper hygiene, and wear face coverings to help protect those who are more likely to have complications from COVID-19.
